Long, LONG story … so I’ll rather try to keep this brief …
After months of trying to sort out how to manage a professionally designed book cover for my first novel, “A-Ware: Derivation” (see the first book’s landing page here), I finally stumbled upon a Rebeca in Ukraine on fiver.com. The porder is now in process, so hopefully an initial book cover is on its way.
I especially wanted this to work out with Rebeca since I feel for the people of Ukraine in their fight against the bully known as Russia. Please understand, I do not actually know where Rebeca is. I can only report her fiver page says she is from Ukraine, but I had my sighted wife check out some of her work samples and was encouraged by what I heard, along with hoping this might be a way I could help out someone of Ukraine who could also help me out with this struggle to afford a first cover design image.
As soon as I have something to preview, I will likely post it for feedback since I will never get to see it myself. I am just assuming that latter because I simply do not believe there will ever be anyone in my lifetime smart enough to restore my normal eyesight. Regrettably, I do not feel there is a Dr. Anjela Sims or anyone else anywhere in the world who ever can or will produce anything to restore my normal eyesight, even if the means by which I do so in A-Ware: Derivation isn’t actually possible. It IS science fiction, and NOT all science fiction is necessarily science fact. Sometimes, one just dreams up fictional possibilities and runs with them. And let’s do remember there’s no “Six Million Dollar Man” running around out there at 60 miles-per-hour or whatever, or leaping to the top of five story buildings or whatever. At least as far as most of us know. But, given the presence of cameras all over the place, that would be a VERY difficult secret to keep these days.
